Tonight is the one night of the year I really hate my job. I am a bartender at one of the major casinos on the strip. With NYE falling on a weekend this year it will be even worse than usual.

Needless to say I will be very busy and very popular. The bar will be 5 deep all night long and everyone wants to be served first. I think every person from California under 25 is in town and they all want to get as drunk as possible. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beer.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beer3.gif)

My only consolation is the money is good for the night. (But still not enough to make it worth the aggravation) I take pleasue in knowing that tomorrow morning I will be sleeping soundly while my obnoxious customers are (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/barf.gif)

No celebration here, except for making progress on my car.

I'll just be here bumping the board. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/icon_bump.gif)

I am heading out to work for a few hours. Try to get home before midnight so as not to be in traffic with all the drunks. Hope you all have a very happy new year and get home safely.

Happy 2005 all of you 914 club buddies! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/jester.gif)

First, Happy New Year's to all on the board! It's been an event-full year for us, and I hope it has been for y'all as well. And even more so in the new year!

NY's was pretty quiet here -- got the girls to bed and such (no complaining there (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)) and then got a dip in the pool -- (just got out. it's 50 degrees F here, and the pool was 90 -- what's not to like!!)

kim.

Alison:

I stepped out on the front porch at midnight to listen to
the fella next door serenade the neighborhood with
" the pipes" . Amid the crash & boom of fireworks one could imagine troops marching into battle.....it never fails to move me....and I'm German (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)
