Marked and noted. I haven't made one yet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Hopefully this year. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Maybe in a moving truck.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Minus 26 deg here today with a -55 deg wind chill factor. I see it as about 1400 miles each way. With a 4 and somewhat heating heads i may just see you in passing. But i am tweaking towards rich to get the heads happy. And eric is either going to findv me new shocks or perhaps evaluate the car in person. My moms ashes will be riding along. How she loved the four corners region. I think Seattle was never the same for her, beautiful as it was even back in the quiet days. She wont be making the return trip. Here it is just going to sit beflow zero for a week, so when my block of lectures ared done yet spring is a minimum of two moths away, well. I hope to be ready. Last year i missed out. Gonna try to make this work. I have the summer tires on. Need to change? |

All - we don't have all the details yet but we wanted you to be able to mark your calendars! We are moving a little east this year so hopefully we can get the CA folks to drive a little further and also get some new faces as well! When - March 21 - 23 Where - Albuquerque, NM More info to follow but we hope to see you there! We will keep this thread updated as the details get nailed down. Happy New Year! So what's the plan on this thing? Meet up in Albuquerque and go on local drives? Drive east or west to some destination? I thought it went through santa fe, not abq. Route 66 that is. I admit to being vague on this. |

No, it ran through ABQ (Central Ave. is old Rt. 66), although for some reason there are some historic rt. 66 signs near Santa Fe too... Is a cruise up through the Jemez on the Docket? I know the owners of a Music camp in Jemez that might let us rent out the camp (individual cabins, etc. if that would be of interest).

It hits ABQ. That said, Route 66 is not a requirement for this event. :-) At some point coming. You should hit Route 66 one way or the other. Just a name & an excuse to get a bunch of psychotic teeners together for a party (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) My white car won't be making the trip...its being taken apart and body work started....once the engine mount is welded in and oil tank holes cut it will get painted before I put it back together....so no trips for that car this year....unless I make RRC. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) But I did buy a "running" car so I would have something to drive, it may look ugly....but if I can get it mechanicaly sound, or close...I'll drive it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Here's a shot of the grandsons at the 66 diner in Albuquerque, last year on my trip. 299 miles for me if I go straight up to I-40 in Vega. If I meet up with whomever in Amarillo, then add about 30 miles to that. I am really planning on making this, even if I have to hitch a ride with some one coming thru Amarillo !!!!

1377 miles for me from home. Taking a little longer route going home. I'll log about 2900 miles overall if I go through reno going home from Vegas. May go through CA instead which will make it even longer. Still debating my return route. Here is my initial route
