Jake,
How many more set do we have to go to reach 50 ? I may be able to buy 3 sets to help this order, we'll see how many others can cough up the big $280.00 .........which is pennies compared to a set of Pauter or Carrillo rods. Last time I called Carrillo they wanted around $250.00 for EACH Rod to make a set from scratch. Come on folks, go turn in the beer cans for your $.05 deposits, look behind those couch cushions & under your drivers seat for some spare change, sell all that crap that's accumulating in your garage on ebay....If you really want to, you can find the $$. OK, go ahead and empty your child's college fund, trust me the military has an awesome tuition assistance program and it's Free! |

This is becoming a real bitch.
Looks like I'm gonna have to get some checks coming this way soon and just hold them till I have 50 orders paid for in hand. That way I can just send the checks back if the purchase doesn't go through because of people flaking out. |

yes he can use the rods, they fit like a 100% stock part. lighter rods = lower stresses on rod bolts which can fail at higher rpm, less mass for the crank to spin around, etc. All in all a good thing.

These rods don't exist yet. To do so requires people commit $$$ for 50 sets. The monetary commitment hasn't happened yet. So far it is emailing Jake with "I'm in for a set"
There'd be some increase in power, and the motor would wind up/down faster. The big deal is that stock rods are heavy, and the stock rod bolts are weak(ish?). These rods would have less weight and stronger bolts, resulting in better longevity at high RPM. Or am I just full of (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/bs.gif) |

I think the check is a better deal for all. If all the paypal money has to be returned, who will be stuck with the fee?

When you refund a paypal payment, the fee gets reversed as long as it's done in 30 days.

so if we reach our minimum order, what's the ETA?
plus my mechanic gets cranky when i supply the parts, so i need to make sure these will fit my car, with no follow ups. |

I have done away with paypal due to book keeping nightmares with them. We'll work something out in the next couple of days and I'll let you know. |
