Ok guys, Thanks for all the interest and offers. We can't make any headway without a target. I got the first bid from a crazy guy from FL. He used to be a 914 guy and backed it up by talking the talk.

My commitment is to provide you the very best transport value possible.
As a reminder, the price estimate to ship your 1973 Porsche 914 LIMO from Sonoma, CA to Duluth, MN is $1,495. I am here to serve you and make your vehicle transport as convenient and simple as possible. Please call me today to discuss your transport needs.

I asked about a second option because McMark said he could get it to SLC.

I asked him to price it from SLC to MPLS where I could pick it up. He told me it would be like $ 200.00 less but didn't send the quote.

He also said he may be able to do it cheaper too which leads me to believe we could make them an offer.

So, this is where were at. Mark (IMG:style_emoticons/default/burger.gif) has to move it and I am willing to take it north. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/assimilate.gif)

Rob set up an account and is ready to handle donations. He's a banker and a founding member. So if your up for it send him a message.

He will keep a running total and post the progress.

Let the games begin! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)

PM sent!

That price doesn't seem bad at all. It'd be WAY more than $200 in gas for someone to haul it all that way to SLC and drive the hauler back. Might as well start from Sonoma.

Whatever's left over Rick could keep for limo parts and supplies. Or for a cover to hide it when your friends come over (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) !

QUOTE(McMark @ Aug 24 2014, 08:54 PM) *

Hey guys!

In between cleaning up from the earthquake I needed to start a process on getting the limo to Minnesota. Dr Evil had expressed and interest in the project but my landlord has put his foot down. So our previous timeline doesn't match up anymore. I need to make it disappear fast. Rick can take the chassis, but can't drive out here to get it.

So since this is being built as a 'community car' we thought we'd see if we can get it moved with a little help from our friends. I'm hoping that someone can manage the research (contact shipper and get price) and hopefully we can get a few people to help us out. I've got $150 to drop in the pot to get it moved. But first things first lets get a price and a timeline together.

If you're interested in leading the charge PM rick to coordinate. My shop address is on my web site. Thanks guys!

I'll match McMark... $150

Hey guys and gals! I received a couple more PM's this morning looking for the pay pal link. Every little bit helps save the limo from the wrath of McMark's land lord. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif)
