I'm a definite maybe on this trip. It's just a question of what form of transportation I use. Two days up, five days there, two days back. That's a lot of (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) just to watch SLITS get drunk and pass out. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) What the hell is a "haboob".

So, big haboobs really aren't as much fun as I might have thought. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) |

Wish I could make it. The wife and I stayed there almost ten years ago now. Beautiful area. Be sure to catch Calf Creek Falls!
I also recall entering from the northeast, traversing a section of road nicknamed 'The Dog's Back'. Apparently, people out there were one of the last to receive mail by Pony Express? lol I've hung out the open doors of helicopters, and this road gave me vertigo!! Don't get caught in a haboob, looking at a hoodoo (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) |

Seriously considering attending however,
The bee will have a brand new motor, Not sure I want to take it into the desert peak of summer, As the break in miles are not even in the works yet. Will run brad-penn oil & May have to trailer in. Booo (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Attached image(s) |

The hotel is booked. This may be a record event. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)
If you have to give up your room, please post so someone gets an opportunity to take over the room from you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

Well, krap! It looks like I snoozed and lost. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) Is there more than one hotel in Escalante? there are a couple more and a bed/breakfast. You're handy ... you created a rag top for your Teener ... have them weld a couple of attachment poles on your bumpers and rig a hammock or sleep under the wing of your Aeroplane Barney. Maybe there is a lonely woman that will take you in (multiples are allowed in UT ya know). If not, you can partner with Erc's sheep. |
