Hi,
I have bought a 914/6 as a project car - matching numbers and tangerine. It is a long term project and I am aiming to bring my /6 back to the original condition as it left the factory 1970 without any performance upgrades or so. I started early to hunt for NOS parts and thought to start sharing some photos of these parts instead of posting photos of metal work. Mark |

You are a sick individual...I like it and appreciate that someone else has more patience and dedication than I do!
Nice score on those parts...total opposite my build, trying not to buy a single new item (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

If you don't mind, can you look at the part numbers and add them to the parts vault if they aren't already there?

Indeed a slow process, but always a joy when you get another part (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Board and cover are NOS - relays used and original I have a pair of NOS rear brake shield, but will get them yellow zink plated. Battery cover |

I'm really impressed with your efforts and results. You have some great finds, especially the muffler. Chasing down NOS six parts can become an obsession. I've been doing the same for about 25 years!

That is very cool. I was recently at a members house where we looked at all of his Nos 914-6 parts in very well organized shelving units.. It was unbelievably cool to see all the rare parts even had an NOS Gt roof

I have some more (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I am trying to keep the original carpet as most parts are in good shape. However some have to be replaced with NOS parts (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

For sure this part is worn and has to be replaced:
And a very, very rare NOS item: The rear trunk carpet is preformed from the back and the shape was changed early. Finally the targa roof carpet: |

What year is your 6?
The targa top, at least on the 1970, had no carpet..... Just sayin.... Cuz I am envious of your stash.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

My /6 is a 1970 and when I bought it the roof did not have a carpet. I thought it has been removed in the past.
I have checked the parts manual and got the impression that there should be a roof carpet for a /6 and also got this info from another /6 owner. So am I wrong in this point? |

I bet you are having a lot of fun hunting and buying those parts.
Good luck with your list of needs, and don't be shy to post here if you get stuck looking for something hard to find. Rich |
