I'm helping a friend sell his beautifully built /6 conversion. Lots of nice upgrades and attention to detail on this car. Here are the details:

Original 1974 1.8 Liter
-He has owned the car since 1981
-Complete Ground up restoration in 1995 on Body, Paint etc. Stripped to bare metal and repainted.
-Suspension completely replaced and upgraded with chassis stiffening kit.
-2001 Engine conversion to 1985 3.2 Liter Engine with late Motronics and K&N by Protech Motorsports in Greenville, SC (this is where the car currently is stored)
-SS Headers with Heat
-Rebuilt 901 Gearbox
-Front Oil Cooler
-Patrick Motorsports Engine Mount Kit and Oil Tank
-No Accidents or frame Damage EVER
-No Rust
-Clean Battery tray and hell hole, etc.

Front Suspension:
-22mm Gun Drilled Torsion Bars
-22mm Adjustable Sway Bar
-Turbo Tie Rods w/ Bump steer kit
-Bilstein Struts
-SS Brake lines and Dual Master Cylinder
-4 Piston Calipers with Cross Drilled Vented Rotors

Rear Suspension
-220lb. springs
-Bilstein Adjustable shocks (clip ring adjust, not collar type)
-Delrin Bushings on Trailing arms
-914-4 Calipers spaced for Vented Rotors
-SS Brake Lines
-914-4 Hubs drilled for 5-lug (From Fat Performance)
-Chassis stiffening kit

Cosmetics/Misc.
-911 Style leather covered Dash with 911 Combo Oil temp/Pressure gauge, and 911 Combo gas/oil level gauge
-Leather covered knee bar
-930 Style Center Console
-911 style Perforated Leather seats
-911 Carpeting
-911 Style Door Panels with Power Windows
-Stereo with subwoofer and upgraded speakers
-Fiberglass front and rear bumpers, but nothing was modified to put these on, so stock bumpers will bolt right up.

PRICE LOWERED TO $34,750

Serious inquiries only. Contact me so I can put you in touch with the owner. I am just helping him out.

Here are all the pictures I have. If I can get down to Greenville at some point, I can get more.

I really like this car too. The bumpers would be up for sale and I would swap in some nice chrome bumpers. That is a nicely done car though. GLWTS.

Front would not be an easy swap, looks like he has a front cooler mounted outside based on the braided lines I see...

I BELIEVE that a GT style front bumper will do just fine. I understand that this bumper is just bolt on, nothing behind it was changed from stock. I actually plan to run down there either the end of this week or early next to see and drive it, so I'll report back what I find. If anyone that's serious has any questions, please either post here or PM me.

OK, I finally got a chance to see the car in person today. It is VERY nice. Needs a good detailing since its been sitting at a mechanic shop for the past 9 months or so and it's dusty and a dirty.

I did get to drive it, and honestly, the engine runs MUCH better than my personal 3.2 engine - much better power/torque and quicker acceleration. I've always thought there's something wrong with mine, and I think this confirms it...I REALLY like this engine and the power it has. Smooth, the exhaust sounds great, started right up, settled into idle, and no problems....like a proper 3.2 should.

Transmission shifts smooth and easy - about as good as you can get for a 914.

Steering is tight and precises, brakes work great. Everything seemed to work just fine. No rust that I could find. Paint is in excellent condition, as is the interior.

There are a couple things I noted that could use some attention (I'm pretty sure the owner may not even know about or ever thought about)

- Since there is a PORSCHE reflector between the tail lights, the rear trunk is activated by an electric solenoid. It doesn't seem to be working (there's an emergency pull cable under the rear trunk so I could open it).
- The rear trunk carpet has a couple areas that the carpet is missing/torn. (see picture, upper right/left by the shock towers)
- The front trunk pull handle needs adjusting. It works fine, just needs to be adjusted a bit because it sits out too far.
- There is no spare (not surprising) so the spare tire "cover" panel has nothing to sit on and is sagging into the front trunk area. Personally, I prefer to not have the spare and have the extra depth for front luggage or stuff capacity.
- NEEDS a good detailing/cleaning inside and out.

I'm sure the owner would get these items addressed as part of the negotiating the price. I'm sending him a list of the things I found so he knows.

Overall, it is a VERY nice car that runs and looks awesome. I only took a couple pictures because there was not much to take that was not already shown. Besides...being dirty the pictures don't come out nice.

I forgot to update this: the owner agreed to fix all the little things I listed back when I told him, so they should be done. Lots of interest lately....summer time I guess??

Mike, Yes it is. I'm sorry, I know you sent me a PM last week but I got so busy with a bunch of things at work and getting ready for the Chumpcar race we (kinda) ran this past weekend. Plus, there is another guy that showed serious interest but I haven't heard from him yet this week. I'll try to give you a call later today.
