I'd like a 2.5T emblem.

Would you like it to have the 'T' at an angle like this, or would you prefer that I match the non-italics font of the 2.5?

This should probably be moved into the vendors area before marketing gets used in the garage more often. It's worked for Mikey too, but just feels a little questionable if it keeps happening.

Hmmm... you're right, it did somehow turn that direction. Good point.

I had sent a PM about getting a 914-8. I had not seen it in black until I saw some of the other pictures on this thread. The black is nice! Is it flat/matte? On a car with black trim, I think its the way to go.

In reference to Rand's comment on moving the thread... I'd like to keep this thread here, and then start a new one in the spot he suggested. Meanwhile, I'd like to post pictures of the cnc build and process of making the emblems here. Maybe even continue wits the various ideas on finishes and mounting suggestions, as they're garage type of topics.

The black emblem really did turn out well. I don't remember if I painted that one, or not.

Anyone know who it was that sandblasted theirs for the brushed aluminum look? They might have posted a picture of it in their build thread, but it had a nice look to it.

Wait, what? I'm looking at the way your punctuation is, and picturing an emblem with the questionmark in place of the last number... like a subtle way to say "guess how many pistons are working today..."

Great to see you getting past life's curves and getting toward production. I'd take a 914-6. Mucho grass.

Yes Rick! Was just thinking the alien needed one. The quality is very good. It'd look great in silver or painted black or green.

Does anyone know if there is an adhesive available that would allow an emblem to be removed easily without damaging it or the car's finish? If there were, it would give one the option of changing emblems or leaving them off completely depending on the day, the event, or one's mood. Its always nice to have options.

I don't know why I never got one. The last time around I think I helped fund the CNC rebuild when it fried but just forgot to order one. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) Anywho. Great emblems and home built equipment to boot. Timeline, yes. Today, tomorrow, and Thursday are all emblem cutting days. The machine is functional and calibrated. I ran some old code on it and it starts and stops the spindle, and each axis has proper movement.

Oh, and no new thread. What should I post a video of the machine cutting?
