I used search but everything I found had to do with in dash radios. I removed the heater controls and radio space to put in an array of vdo gauges. I don't have a center console.
Now that I have been successful quieting up the car I want to put in some tunes. I want to keep my glove box working so need other ideas. Either a radio....or a way to play music from my phone. |

I'm going to use one of these in my build. DROK mini amplifier.
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/c2.staticflickr.com-19709-1457362751.1.jpg) It's just an AUX-IN with a volume knob. You supply it with 12v, and run the speaker wires. Here it is on my radio delete plate next to a couple stop watches. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/c2.staticflickr.com-19709-1461521472.1.jpg) If you've quieted up your interior a lot it should be enough volume. |

Not exactly sure what McMark is using under the dash, but I know his iPod bluetooths to 'it,' whatever it is, and McMark has quite the music collection to choose from...
Contact him and ask. Probably similar to what Glen is using. |

This is an awesome find....under $15. Probably cleaner output than using bluetooth. The others I have seen have a larger panel; this is only a volume and jack. Does it work well for you? Enough power output? Have to crank Van Halen's first album; only way to listen to it is at 98db! |

You will need an amp with that solution.
Woody's has ipod, mp3 with different amps. http://stores.ebay.com/Woodys-Custom-Shop/...d=p4634.c0.m322 |

I would combine something like that with a small amp just to provide a more stable sound.
Thats what Im planning on doing. I have this combined with a 1k (Probably go down to a 650watt) watt amp that I am going to install. Bluetooth was a must for me. Receiver https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ANFOOV...=UTF8&psc=1 Vol Knob https://www.amazon.com/PAC-LC-1-Remote-Ampl...+volume+control This is another option that I considered for my setup. Lots of options like this out there for boats. Hide the volume control in your center console and be good to go. https://www.amazon.com/Pyle-PLMRMBT5S-Bluet...plifier+600watt |

If that little amp doesn't work for you then look at this.
Solely a volume knob. Add an earphone to rca cable to the player and an amp to the speakers. The new digital amps are small enough to fit in the center console with plenty of top off power. Knob comes off so you can also mount it in the dash. ![]() |

Cons is it's for car audio so it runs better at 14v (if you're thinking PC audio, 12v), it gets hot and no case. Also it won't run a subwoofer and is only 2 channel. Pro is it doesn't distort at high volume, sound is pretty good and it's 20 bucks. |
