Why would anyone want a 914 when you can get a really HOT Pinto (between the closest 2 914s)?

When was the last time anybody saw a Fiat 850 Spider in the wild?

There are two in the picture.
One is an 850 Sport. The Spider with the fixed hardtop.
Between the One Way sign and the guys left shoulder

okay, the game is on; the Dodge Polara on the left and the Coronet tailight on the right. see how many cars we can name from one fragment of any car in this picture. Is that a Toyota Corona in the far upper right, next to the Fiat 850? Who can identify the Ford ? I think I see a Mercury Capri as well. There's some sort of Triumph in front of the cop's Harley as well. I stand corrected and the Triumph is really a MG Midget

I thought the car next to the 850 spider might be a Capri?

MG midget partially hiddened by the motorcycle windshield?

[edit]

Ok now I agree with you, Toyota corona is correct. Capri is on the far left.

I don't think so, see the left side, you see one Capri, and its rim, then you move over and see another one below the one-way sign

Your not going to believe this, but there were two parked next to each other on 29 north of Napa on Thursday...I think they were for sale. I did a double take as I was driving by.

I see a TR6 next to the first 914. I don't know what the car is to the right with a sign in the windshield.

Seattle doesn't look like that anymore. The intersection/area is high rise Amazon, Alibaba, etc. I remember the old Bap-Geon store. I was prob a few months out of the army when the picture was taken

It sure doesn't. I hardly ever see a motorcycle cop anymore, either. Let alone on on a Harley.

The buildings in the background look familiar. Wasn't this shot taken near Terry/Boren? Or, was it north of downtown, along 5th Ave towards Seattle Center?

Great picture. Seems to encapsulate lot's of my car karma. My grandparents got me into "sports cars" via Karmann Ghias and Capris. Made offers on many 914's over decades before scoring one months ago. (probably overpaid).

Tried to buy more than 1 Fiat 850, fun car. Tried to buy more than 1 MGB. Unfortunately bought more than one AH Sprite and Midget! Kicked the tires on a few Z cars but couldn't commit. Of course they are coming into their own now....

First DD was an 80/81 Ford Pinto when I was in high school. 2.2 liter 4 speed. Actually got low speed rear ended by a school bus and it was not damaged at all.

Krieger, where exactly were the 850s? I'd like to go look at them. Not buying, just looking.

All ready and sitting outside for a winter's worth of rain. You could almost hear the rust forming.

Sign above the cop's helmet says Westlake. I'm thinking near Mercer where that art deco Lincoln Mercury dealership was (previously Wm O. McKay Ford).

I see a 1st gen Camaro behind the Pinto and a Volvo in the back row under the BAP GEON sign.

Being Seattle, what do you think the odds are of those 3 surviving?
