Contrary to what the others are saying, I have to strenuously disagree. this place is freakin' dangerous.

I have spent a ton more money on upgrades and improvements making it a far superior car than when I got it. Which isn't saying a lot compared to some of the master works others own.

And then there's the people here that rush to help every time I paint myself into a corner, which is just about every project. You'd think they'd learn. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif).

If it weren't for you mother_______ers with real 914-6s and /6 conversion cars, I'd still be driving my car.

This six conversion thing is expensive and addicting.

To note, for some reason I think the reading comprehension of many active posters is far below average. Post up asking about an apple and you get 20 replies about how oranges can cause acid reflux.

Despite this, still the best forum around.

Yea, 914 World is the very best for 914 content. I got my 1st 1974 914 back in 1978
And had to learn from mechanics that I new. Over the years lots of different Porsches and lots of Chilton books on how to fix them.

Lots of years gone by and lots of different Porsche cars. When I was on the bird board they had some info on 911s but almost nothing on 914s. Some one there suggested going to World for 914 content. When I bought my factory 6 in Dec 2006 I needed some info on how to open the front hood when the cable was broken. I asked the board how to do it and I got an answer back in 1 minuet. I found the Internet age of car clubs for me.

Almost everyone is very nice and very helpful and for a beer or less would help you out.

The talent of our members is unreal. I see some really talented people building some incredible cars and just ask them for ideas on how to do something and there are right there for you. I have helped out my share of guys and always am happy to do it.
Paying it back.

I have traveled all over the world on business and am not alone in my hotel late at night with an Internet connection. Understanding that lots of people here make there living from car parts or services for 914s or Porsche and I am happy to buy from them when I can.

So thank you 914World and all of its members and moderators for all that you do.
Every one of you. Thanks for your answers for a problem that is very specialized.

Yup.

Enough said—other than thanks to Andy, and so many others (y'all) who make it so.

My car was on blocks in the garage from 1987 to 2015 why'll I was busy racing dirt bikes. When I first started working on the car I wasn't a member that's my biggest regret. Once I got connected with the 914world and the local OC 914 gang I was able to straighten out the problems I was having. I thank the world...oh wait thank you 914world (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif)

I don't know ... I've been a member since late 2006, and I still have two non-operable 914s (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

I went to the forum in Rome, and I couldn't read anything. It was all Greek to me. My reflex was to drop acid.

talk about a forum, but too many foreigners. You'd think they do something about that.

This place is definitely the best for 914 content. I frequent rennlist a lot but for the other models, and OT stuff. The 914 board there is basically crickets...

Yep ! There is a very active board in french (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif) http://porsche914.fr-bb.com/
I opened it 11 years ago for the french 914 owners and despite twitter, and Facebook, it is still growing.
