Heres a pic of my 3.2 motor mated to the trans. I have been asked why I didn't add some powder coating bling to the usual engine components.
This was on my list but I felt it was more wise to put those funds into my rebuilt trans. I stepped up and had a WAVETRAC ATB Differential and a Patrick magnesium Intermediate Plate installed along with other goodies. The engine bling can wait another day. |

Why a magnesium intermediate plate? mag is only 65% as stiff as aluminum (it's tension modulus) In a gear case, stiffness is the key thing you need, you'd be better off with the stock aluminum int. plate. That's why aluminum 911 engine cases are superior to mag. |

Shouldn't be too long until you're driving, right? |
