Be interested in how well the wavetrac does.
Get the car going, bling does not make a car go, and can always be added latter. Now if I just heeded my own advise. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) |

Engine bling in a 914 doesn’t really show much compared to a 911. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Actually, not much shows at all if you keep your engine compartment closed. |

Now just a matter of buttoning up the little stuff. Was thinking about making its debut at the Seal Beach event but out of town that weekend. |

Heres a pic of my 3.2 motor mated to the trans. I have been asked why I didn't add some powder coating bling to the usual engine components. This was on my list but I felt it was more wise to put those funds into my rebuilt trans. I stepped up and had a WAVETRAC ATB Differential and a Patrick magnesium Intermediate Plate installed along with other goodies. Why a magnesium intermediate plate? mag is only 65% as stiff as aluminum (it's tension modulus) In a gear case, stiffness is the key thing you need, you'd be better off with the stock aluminum int. plate. That's why aluminum 911 engine cases are superior to mag. |

Shouldn't be too long until you're driving, right? |

Hoping Mr. Patrick will call me soon so I can travel to Phoenix and trailer the car back to Calif for some PCH cruising.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

There’s a lot to be said for writing a big check and having a car back in months instead of diy for a couple years. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I also have a white narrow-body 3.2L conversion. Mine is using an '87 Carrera motor with Motronic, and I noticed a detail with yours that I had not seen before. It's very clever and I want it...
Was the black intake tube that places the volume airflow sensor closer to the firewall a PMS fabrication? Something they sell? You have a very nice car and well thought conversion by the way. |
