On number 13. 12 didn't work. Had number 12 looking good and cut it too small. So if I don't screw up again I should have 13 mounted on the diffuser tomorrow.

Yeah right, only ready for another fitting. Fitting never seems to fail me at showing me something I was ignoring.

The other side.

Fitting, going to pull the ends and fit the body. That will make fitting the ends really hard.

Scrap, there is just so much time in there. Some really good ideas that were not. A few extra lightning holes. Time that I don't post about, mostly in failure. There are 14 diffuser end covers including the 2 on the car.

I learned a lot. Like seeing deviations in a compound curved surface.

Thanks Scott, practice, practice, practice... I am not inlike with the wings yet, so they may yet be changed. I do have something that I am inlike with that I would like to share with you. P M me your address and we'll see how warm they are when they get to you. You mentioned something about RIBS, I do Baybe Backs. Really another one of my passions. I'm gonna put a party in your mouth...

This is a first. I burnt a hole smoker full. Yep, scraped 12 racks. So now I have 8 more and am just about to start the smoker. I'd like to get a 6 am start. Back to work.

So I got past the smoker and everything is TITS. I made a foam lined box big enough to hold a half rack but it is a little too tall, I had some fill space and thought the best thing to put in that space was more RIBS. Scott's receiving about 8 pounds. Overnight says tomorrow.

I got 4 buttons today.

Attached Image

Nothing is tight yet. Going to tighten up everything so I can get the ends riveted in place. I am sure that will make the fitment really bad and cause more adjusting. But I feel good now the buttons are fitted.

Thanks too Elliot, @ziptied I saw these on his U tube channel. I found them at Sierra Modre Collection. Under $300 to cover all 4 corners. When they arrived they were transparent. Sorry I don't like anything that's partially visible. Black transparente plastic wasn't getting it for me
So I painted them on the inside trim black. I'm a happy camper now. They will look BAHADD next to the diffuser. Pictures tomorrow.

Having all the pieces doesn't make it fit. It's still far from fitting. Each side cover pulls it that way. I'm trying to fit it like it belongs there. Left side is looking good but has no gap and needs at least a quarter of an inch spacing. So I am attempting to put the shape of a dish on top of a compound curve. Tried several methods and wound up with the single jack in my hand. It moves metal too. It brought out the trough I was looking for. My goal here is to have the end covers center the diffuser too line up with two bottom pins. When the end covers have proper clearance all four upper pins should be lined up too.
Another fitting attemp sometime today.

Making progress, that's a lie. I make more steps backwards than forward. Pulling the end caps for more shaping. Again. Trying to think up new ways to reach my goals. Also trying to not get burnt out. Thinking about one side at a time. So a new goal for today, Get one sided.
