One of the reasons I bought my boys 914s was they have enough power to have fun. They kept having guys want to race them. I told them that if they raced and lost the guy would brag he beat a Porsche. If you don't race you are the guy driving the fastest car. Mikey had a 1.7, Taylor a 2.0.

I regularly beat the latest greatest Porsche products. I regularly get beat by a guy named Steve Nieslony who is a member here. It's good to know, there is always someone faster out there somewhere... The important thing is that someone controls the crowd and safety factors at races and autocross. You take your car to the limit on the street, especially if you don't have skills, something will eventually happen. Don't invite the devil to the dance... the devil l o v e s to dance!
