i put the heart in this beast and intended to let it beat on it's own. but... now stomberg wants to "debate" the facts that have surfaced over in the classifieds at the bird. the guy is a glutton for punishment. the usual distortion. he won't have many places to hide. thesamba will not be safe either.

Kevin, this was done by his own actions and several times before if I remember correctly. You just aired one of his dealings, why feel guilty for letting everyone know what type of guy he is? He is who he wants to be, that is his problem that if he chooses to continue and reap the rewards of being an outcast so be it. All of our responses probably would have been kept to ourselves with little comment here if this was a single occurance. It isn't..

Yeh.....ask Tony Bray about his friend's 2.0L heads for the 912E..your "full service machine shop" ran an exhaust stud in and cracked the support, which would have led to a crack in the port under heat...flycut 0.030" for no reason.....no worries, RIMCO fixed it for ya, measured them so that what you did was known. Nice delivery too....leave them on your front porch for the customer to pickup with no information. Guess you were out and busy building your reputation. How do I know? They brought them to me for evaluation and considered buying used heads from me to save the engine. Even the ass-draggers are not immune....small community indeed. I await with baited breath your replies to Mr. Raby. He may be an egotist and loud, but he knows what he is doing and stands behind it. |

Steve,
it seems that you are truley a scumbag. there have been folks who I respect stand up for you, you are embarrasing them. I hope that makes you happy. The word is out about you, and this time your actions are public and not speculation. Howie, thanks for the new emoticon (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/stromberg.gif) |

Kevin,
Was the current issue whether the seller would refund the money before vs. after you returned it? I realize the risk you could end up with nothing but wouldn't you have more legal recourse if the engine was in the sellers possession? I feel for your loss, my trust was burned on my transport of Neo914 to and from WA. The guy continued to say he would make good on the deal but has never returned a phone call. |

felix, i bought the engine from STEVE. too long to go through again. there have been 4, i think, threads related to this matter. 1st one got locked down, it's many, many pages back (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif) . 2nd was the "happy , happy..." thread (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif) . 3 got people all worked up and i was asked to delete it (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif) . i complied.(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/givemebeer.gif)

Kev, I hope this thing gets worked out, even if it has to go through litigation for it to be done... Steve: (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/finger.gif) Jake: keep us all posted, we want to see him get what he deserves (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/chair.gif) |

I don't know Steve, but I wouldn't buy water from him if I were dying of thirst.
I've been told by someone I trust that Steve Stromberg's main source of income is pimping his wife out on the internet on a sex camera website, i don't know if it's true but it wouldn't surprise me. |

It looks like none of us will be doing business with Stromberg and it appears rightly so. However, bringing in family members is a low rent thing to do. I've met Steves wife. Nice lady. Nurse in Viet Nam. Too many emotional folks out there. Lets try to show some class and rip those who deserve it. "Pimping his wife out on the internet". Brilliant comment!! (Not) Cheers, Elliot |

Sheish...2 days in the teener without spending any time here, and I guess I missed a LOT!
Last week, Kevin replied to everything he had for sale in the parts section with a warning, and (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/stromberg.gif) replied with "Kevin, I'll take the motor back...Kevin, I said I'll take the motor back...Kevin, please stop posting, I said I'll take the motor back." Now we get this??? I call (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/bs.gif) |

AS a vendor I have not commented - until now.
This is unbeliveable. Steve contacted me to repro some parts he wanted to make - months and months ago. Never sent anything and dont bother sending anything this way. Your rep is shot with the way you have handled yourself here. rhodyguy - what of my parts I make do ya need? Pay shipping and they are yours - not trying to make this into a sales thing but I want Steveo to know what a tight knit community we have. I also encorage the other vendors on this board to do the same. I have a simple business plan - I always ask myself - would I buy it? Steve (although its way too late) you really need to right this - its only gonna cost you in the future.......... M |
