Waiting for some lifting help to finish the engine swap. Need my son and one or two of his friends to lift the "new" engine off the stand and mate to the transaxle... then I can do the rest.
Been doing this since the early '70's but the 75 year old body doesn't quite move like it used to!!

I hear ya, Stu, even though I'm only 71 ... the years have definitely taken their toll.

Just a couple days ago, one of my neighbors asked when I was going to finish an old bike project. I said I'd probably need a hand getting the motor out of the crate and into the chassis. Otherwise, I can handle everything else (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

Getting a whole lot closer to dropping all the drive train components off at the shop ...

... hard to believe that it's been almost a year since I've been to the shop. The car's been waiting patiently for me to 'get-er-done'

Cause I am stuck on a small island teaching a marine ecology class for a month. Although I am also learning to draw and paint, since I am co teaching the course with an art professor.

Sometimes I think it might be but then I have to grade their work or watch 19-year-olds try to hang wet clothes on a line to dry.

Not 914 but kind of is. Set up a top loading blasting cabinet to work on the car, but without thinking I guess. I can't lift what I used to, even if I could it then needs to drop back down on to the grate inside. It is a big cabinet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

So I put in a 440 lb winch lift that will pick it up from the floor and set it in the box. Once trans off and stripped it should pick up the engine no problem and set it on a cart.
