My son and his friends go there sometimes. He took my wife and I for a tap room tour and we really liked being able to try an once or two at a time. It's walking distance from his apartment and dog friendly.

Cheered my son on as he ran his last cross country race as a Senior this morning. Came home and started removing the deck boards from the front porch (27" x 8") and started installing new composite boards.

Tomorrow's plan; finish deck boards and finish cleaning up the landscape / remove old shrubs.

Mark,
It’s a nice area, not far from down town, lots of cool little shops and restaurants. One of our favorites is Millwood Smokehouse! Great BBQ. This taproom as you know doesn’t serve food but parked right outside is a little food trailer that makes these awesome biscuits , we tried the honey glazed fried chicken, smoked pork chops and a grilled portobello mushroom with a purple cabbage slaw . And yes very dog friendly- we watched some football and ate while tasing some good brew- 118 flavors in all!
I like dark beer but enjoy the variety and creativity of the local craft brews. My son used to live not far up in NODA, but now has a house up closer to where he works at Wells-Fargo complex. Millwood is a neat area with lots of new apartments but also the home are craftsman style and also beautiful turn of the century homes than mostly now have been restored. I think if we move up here it is where we would look to live.
- we will have to get together next time you come to town- BTW there is a huge Cars and Coffee event every 3rd Saturday at the Charlotte Motor Speedway now- not in October due to the race but will be in November.

Good luck. Love the FJ. I had a '72 for a few years. Wish I never sold it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flag.gif)

Not supposed to lift over 10 lbs for another 10 days. The 12 ft roll up door on the shop might me a few pounds over that.
