Not only do we have great 914 driving weather in South Texas (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) , we also have pretty good weather for our XC Spring mountain bike series (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) ...race one went well for me as I am now the little kid in to 60+ Cat 1 class (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) , with my recent b-day. Because right down the street La Quinta holds our annual car show.
There were 6 914's there, one was a member but I did not see him or her. I did meet "Doc", the owner of the black six (2.7), nice fella . And one fella in a Benz that pulled up just to hang out. Nice car and a nice fella.

Been dealing with a condition called 'trigger finger' in my right hand since the beginning of the year. This isn't my first rodeo and my hand doctor said since I've already had 4 cortisone shots in it over the past couple of years, it's time to schedule surgery to ultimately fix the problem (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ... (scheduled for March 24th)

So, I've been trying to get some long overdue projects completed as estimated recuperation is 5~6 weeks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Finally finished doing the brickwork on my back yard walkway and leveling the dirt so my plumber friend can rework the sprinkler system and my gardener can put down some new sod.

Also had a carpenter friend come by last week to help build a raised the floor in the laundry room and raise the back door to the house to match the new floor's height. Still need to finish the drywall, paint and laminate flooring, but that can wait until I'm back on my feet, er hands (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I actually DID do something with my 914 though ... got a spare tire from Abe so I can finally drop it back on the ground ...

Admin edit: I hate to remove this, but this is the garage and it is open to all, even little kids. Stuff like this belongs in the sandbox. Clay

I was asked to make a 70th Bday present for a '67 Camaro loving BBQ fiend.

Then a fellow BMW E9 owner asked if I'd make him a pair of seat mounts to get some 635 sport seats into his coupe.

I have not had much time to even look at the forum let alone work on the 914. I been too busy with turbos. As in Turbo Tax, our taxes, helping the kids get files and worst of all finishing my parents taxes last night. Half the time is spent getting passwords reset. My mother has more sheets of paper with passwords on them than they have in tax documents. Every one has a different password for the same accounts and she is just starting to understand upper case and lower matters for passwords. Last time she was on the road was 2004 and since then moved to under horsepower’d 914’s (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). Took the car for a drive yesterday but the tires kept breaking loose (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Lingenfelter LS7 with six speed.

I'm going to Missouri to pick up a smoker. It's large and won't fit in the back of the truck because of the shell. I should be back tomorrow evening and will probably season it Tuesday. So in reality I won't be able to work on the car till Wednesday. Maybe I can sneak in a few minutes here and there. It's a 30" x 60" rotisserie. I currently have 48 racks of Baby back ribs as they are my second favorite item to smoke.
