The original Syncrometer (snail) is the unit to have, IMO.
That black one is a knock off......from commie China or somesuch. You pays your money & takes your chances. |

Here's the one I picked up from the link I posted above, $25.
The box it comes in says it made in Taiwan. It appears absolutely identical to at least one I saw listed online somewhere as made in Germany, for $40 or $60. If its a copy, it at least looks like an exact copy. I can't contribute anything about relative performance, though. I can pull about 20-25 kg/hr by lung, though. Makes you kinda dizzy.
