Anyone have or know where to find the engine tin zap straps?

I had one that looked good but it was too brittle to use.

Thanks.

There is a small pin sort of piece that pushes out of the center allowing for removal from the tin without cutting the 'loop' section.

As it's on the back of the tin and no one else will know, can you settle for less than OEM?

You know me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). I’d love to find originals or have someone manufacture them.

As the sole reason for them is keeping the 'hot' starter wire off of the trans, source a couple of these until you find the correct ones.

Just search on the AA site. I found it easy using "cable tie":

Plastic Tie-wrap 914 Wiring Harness Starter Cable 99951300740
For the rear 914 harness where it is tied to the rear sheetmetal

Thanks Jeff, I was searching for zap strap (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

$2.75 on AA and a bit less on Sunset with part number.
