@MB911 - please be extremely careful with making sure the intake had absolutely no left over blasting media. I’ve seen that destroy and engine and shop like agree Brown’s won’t work on cars with sandblasted intakes since some material comes loose.

It seems that quite a few of us jump back and forth from the 914 to 928 rabbit hole. I own 2 86.5 with 5 speeds, one with dual zone ac.& parted an 84 auto.
My observations. 914's have a more eclectic community, much better parts availability, cheaper to noodle around with, & more smiles to the mile. I have a small 928 parts stash + an S4 motor. I may be able to hook you up for parts. I will also post a link to download the factory manual if anyone is interested. |

Fuel injectors are my last big pieces I need. Had to buy a new radiator ugh that was not expected.. I do have factory manuals, every receipt since new, and all the service manuals. Thinking it will fire up Christmas time. |

Just pick a day your feeling very patient to assemble the ICV and hoses underneath the intake, its a bugger to say the least. Found it best to get a spacers of some sort to keep the intake just a bit above its normal resting point, tilting up where needed to reach under and make the last couple of hose and electrical connections.

Well I have all winter. Still the last big purchase is Injectors. Just did the math and with prices going up this car finished will be @8500 total investment.

Which will be absolutely worth it once you can get some miles on it, these are super satisfying cars to own and use.

Yep same ones, just be sure they are not clones, the listing says they are 100% genuine but there are a lot of copies on the market, read this thread https://rennlist.com/forums/928-forum/11823...njectors-2.html |

There a lot of everything in that engine bay. I couldn't keep track of it.
