Well now, that is going to be fun! I had a 3.2 short stroke in my SC track car way back when. 320 hp @ 7500 rpm. In a light narrow body, short wheelbase car, it’ll be a hoot!

Charlie I'm not chasing HP because it's going to be enough no matter what it puts out but I do have a goal for it to rev to 9K. I'm getting help from a very experienced engine builder to make it work. The sound should be amazing. |

Came back from chemical dip and e-coat. Mocked it up just for fun. Headed out to paint soon.

How did the ecoat and overall condition come.out? Really good. The chemical dip removes everything, rust, seam sealer, etc. then the Ecoat penetrated all the spot welded seams. A previous owner had started a restoration, replacing floor pans and some other pieces and let every overlapped seam get rusty. This cleaned and sealed everything. Ecoat is really needed if you chemical dip. Otherwise, all the spot welded seams are left bare but not accessible to conventional primer. |

Is that an aluminum engine lid ? Mmmmmm Yes. My friend has a real one and once I saw it, I could not unsee it. Under 5 lbs and shaped really well. In fact, when I received the glass hood, I decided I didn't want glass and ordered a Dansk aluminum long hood. Unfortunately, they are 2X the price from when I sold them in 2016. Attached image(s) |

Mark - very cool build, thanks for sharing the journey.
Sounds like you'll be needing a green 10K tach....?! (to complement that 5 gauge dash) - Tony |

I know you are the go-to guy for the 10k tachs but I’ve changed my engine plans. Keeping the motronic with some upgrades. I have a green 911S tach. 8k with a 7200 redline. That should do it for now. Too much money in the build to go crazy with the engine right now. |
