I stay out of AA bashing threads and I don't want this to turn into that, if it does I'll delete the thread. My position is that any company today that supports the 914 is helping us out in some way, including AA. I have a had a couple satisfactory transactions with AA and I want to keep it that way. I posted this for the laugh value to clubmembers only. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

You may have seen this decal before, but it came up on ebay again....No one is perfect but come on Greg, you are supposed to be an authority...this is too much buddy...It should be obvious what the issue is with this decal...Do you really sell many of these? You really should destroy all your inventory of these... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

1974 914 1.7L Sticker
"PORSCHE 914 ENGINE COMPARTMENT DECAL 1974 1.7"
"Brand new old stock Decal. Perfect for the concours enthusiast."

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/lol2.gif) That's funny. If only it were an option.

Ya'll heard the man, no AA bashing in this thread. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/mad.gif)

Wait I have one of those in my yard. I bet POrsche or VW would buy this one back for a pretty penny. It only has a little rust. Maybe AA would make me a better offer.

I'll take a stab at this one. Ummmmmm, they didn't offer the 1.7L in 74. The engine code on the decal is EC, should be 1.8L if I remember correctly. Hey, even the pros make mistakes.

Ok lemme guess, 1.7 was not an option in 74? 1.8 or 2.0 right?

That has nothing to do with the sticker. The sticker looks correct to me. EC / 1974 = 1.8

Please one of you guys in the know, please tell me what's the obvious thing wrong with the sticker. Your killing me here.

TRANSM IN NEUTRAL?

(but the Free Dictionary recognizes it as short for transmission)

So, what do I win?
