Different rockers are the worst way to go for a street engine- you lose the elf lubricating benefits and that kills valve guides in a hurry.
I laugh every time I see generic cam descriptions, the cam grinder is about the worst person to choose a cam for you. Off the shelf grinds give off the shelf performance. A good generic performer with carbs on a smaller (-2.1 engine) is the web 86.. BUT as soon as you toch the stock head all that changes and as soon as you add CR that multiplies. It's all in the combo, and the combo goes from the beginning of the intake tract clear to the exhaust tip and covers everything in between. |
