Jeroen, talked to the owner a bit. Whether you like the styling or not, this is one super car. Example.. After raising the belt line in the back, he thought stock door looked funny, so he sectioned it and added about 2" at the rear so it 'met' the rear fender better. Also note modified windshield rake. Did all the work himself!!

I bought a bunch of V-8 parts from Doug (owner of that car)

He's very detailed and did a great job. I'm thinking of taking my V-8 car to his painter. They did all the final body work and it is fantastic.

Those headlights are custom made. It's a cool ride. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) Good job Doug!!

If he's a club member what's his ID, I'd like to add him to the conversions list? I've seen early pics years ago on the old Porschev bbs. I'm glad he finished it. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

How much did his paint cost?

Nice work, did he roll up his windows? Im curious how the plexi holds up...

That car is tight!

What are the blue-green-orange buttons for beside the shifter?

Any news on the brakes and suspension?

Anyone go for a ride in it want to describe it?

How did it sound?

That's an incredible job. Rear trunk is outrageous. Love it.

That thing should be in Excellence (I guess V8's would be disqualified) or some magazine it's so rad.

I took a good look at it and can only say that the quality of workmanship and attention to detail were probably better than new cars get today. It was put together very well.

As far as the looks, well, let's just say that it's not my cup o' tea.

Doesn't seem to have much 914 left in it.

He hasn't had the windows cut yet. Combo of modified door and W/S rake will make it a very custom job. Engine sound is like a 360 Modena on steroids. I think extra buttons activate FLIR and AEGIS systems.

Big Big Thanks to Joe and Linda, I had a great time. It was hard watching them work while we screwed around, but somehow I managed. It's always nice hanging out with people nearly as dysfunctional as I am. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif)

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/agree.gif) Really, really scarey.

PS: If I am ever in the position to buy a car like that, please deter me.
