Hi Waide,

Last week there was a 3.2 with DME/Harness at LA Dismantlers. It had somewhere between 65K and 80K miles on it. $6K plus S&H.

In case you didn't like the one on e-bay.

I have bought BMW items from them, not the friendliest people to deal with in person but they do know their stuff. Maybe I was bugging them on a bad day...

Our car got punted off at the start of a race last year, result one broken 930 trailing arm

Oklahoma Foriegn had the trailing arm we needed, shipped it promptly, and the cost was reasonable.

I was looking at the same engine, what turned me off was the $1000 core charge. So the price is "Price of the engine + $1000" if you don't have a 6 cylinder engine to turn in. They did say they would cover the shipping on the core, that's very big of them. Even a basket is worth $2k+,

I decided to pass. Figured that core charge was a load of crap.

Later, Don

I puchased fiber glass bumpers for my 914 from OK foreign. The bumpers were real nice and 1/2 price. The service was friendly.

I know they have been around for a long time and I have never heard any horror stories about them from other friends that have dealt with them.

I saw the core charge also, which would kill the deal, but I was just wondering

Between John (johnman) and I we have bought three engines from them, two 3.2 engines and a 3.3 turbo.

We have been pleased with all three. I do not buy off of e-bay however. I'd call them direct and negotiate with them. Get them to throw in extras, like wiring, fuel pump, tach, and anything else you need. John bought a 3.2 and a 915 trans most recently. (pm johnman and ask him his ideas).

Unlike some others, they ship quickly, and will ship stuff they promised in case they forget...

We buy parts from them all the time for the several magazine cars we have.

Call them directly and mention 9 Magazine you might get a deal!

I have driven up there and gone through the yard multiple times. They are honest and they know their stuff.

Bought the gauges in my car from them. No problems at all.

I would call them and buy over the phone.

I went to OK foreign for a hood, fender, and front bumper for the 911. They drove me around their yard and I picked the cars the parts came off of. As the guy was taking the parts off I was able to ask for a few extra pieces he threw in with the deal. I think I got a good price. I will definitely buy from them again.
