That is a small fortune in shims. That will help offset some of the cost of the Cellete.
We need to know about that exploding shock.

Say Hi to Pete Stout for me. I'm working on that article for the GT I found in Canada.

Did you really have to cut the cage? Was the stress that bad? Are you going to be able to weld the cage back together or is it time for a new one?

Aaaahndy wanted to remove the doors, so they left 'em in Napa. Turns out they're very useful for telling how and where some of the chassis is bent, so B scraped up some other early doors for the tub.

Either that, or Aahndy wanted to try the "Captain America" look.

....So, did you guys ever start pulling the damn thing? When I had to leave, the only actual moving of parts of the chassis was some beating on the front suspension pickup point with a BFH...

yes. just got home, we got all the pulling done on my red car, it's sitting all bolted down until tomorrow morning. we'll see if we did the job right when we unbolt the fixtures.
if the tub stays, we're done! if not, we have to do some more (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif)

cut rollcage ... it had to be cut apart completely ...
the cuts all came apart with a loud BANG, displacing the tubes up the 1/2" in places ...

guess there was some load on the cage after we started pulling the tub ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
