If you track at all, you gotta go with suede. With suede gloves, no slip.

Of your choices, last is best.

I like the first picture (I believe it is a stock Porsche wheel) for two reasons. First, it appears to be held on by the steering column and nut assembly. It does not have the screws that appear on the other two; I am very much against screws holding a steering wheel on to the hub since it appears the screws could work loose thus dangerous. Second, it looks from the pictures that the gauges could be read easier than the other two.

I had a 1964 Corvette which had screw type attachment of the steering wheel to the hub. These would work loose and I would have to tighten them while driving down the road. Locktite, you say?? This is before the days of the good "lockers" and would always break down from the vibration, etc.

I think stock is better. Mittelmotor has a set of smaller wheels (360mm) that looks stock. http://www.mittelmotor.de/deutsch/neuheiten/lenkrad.html

As said before:

Suede covering in your choice of wheel.

With suede or smooth leather gloves... PERIOD.

Cause when my hands are sweaty on a hot day.
And I am driving anything over 7/10ths.
It is the ONLY way I know of to mitigate the risk of losing wheel control.

Safe is more important than cosmetics. IMHO.....................

I like the Porsche 4 spoke. My stock wheel is too large and makes getting in /out difficult by hitting my knees. Four spoke has nice 'feel' too

I didn't vote because I'm going with the Momo Pilota.

Good grip plus flat bottom make for great knee room...

As old as my 1970's Prototipo is, it still feels great! Timeless design too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
