Wow. I never got to meet Howard. About a month ago, I arrived home after a difficult day at work and logged onto the "World" and opened a 'cold one'. The first post I see is from Howard with a link to a video he had posted to YouTube.

That video made my whole day! Twistys in a 914, set to some of the best music ever, sipping a frosty beverage.

Thank you Howard for fixing my day and thank you for touching the lives of so many.

Here is the link to the videoHowie Vid. Join me in remembering his life with the video and a (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

God Speed Howard, and may God bless your family

I never met Howard. But one look at the video that Jim just posted and I saw what he loved to do and see. It brought tears to my eyes... I know now, he was my brother. Godspeed Howard.

Met him a few times at Joe Sharps and once at Leemons. He had a great rasp in his voice. I always thought he should've done cartoons or something. I'll remember him for that voice...

I always thought I'd get to meet Howard in person, maybe even share a few beverages.

This place won't be the same without you, Howard. Rest In Peace.

A heavy heart, and a tearful eye. I met Howard a very few times and in those brief moments I was made to feel welcome and happy. A truly great man has passed...too soon (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

My thoughts are with his family in their time of grief, my sincere condolences.
I met Howard at the WCC05 (which he organized and he did a great job at). He always had a big smile on his face, a bounce to his step and an infectious "why not" attitude. The 914 community has lost a great supporter and I know we've all lost a great friend.

I only talked to him once in person at a chinese restaurant at dinner 1 night during WCC 04 but, many times his wit put a smile on my face. I am thankful I had the opportunity to enjoy his humor and I will miss him for sure.

I will pray for his family. Somehow I have this vision of Howard looking over his new digs up there and having some joke he really wants to tell. I suspect when I get there the door prepared for Howie gonna have a crowd in it and as you go by there's gonna be a lot laughs. Lighten them up up there Howard. Heaven will never be the same.

that dinner had completely slipped my mind. watching howard work the matre'de (sp) when 25 people showed up without a single reservation, getting a private room, and hammering down the cost per head, was a thing of beauty.
