The big Red guy brought me some goodies for my girl! I scored all the rubber bits needed to complete the doors.
I spent the last couple of days installing them and making new vapor barriers.
I installed them using butyl tape cut into thin strips. TBT20 (Thomas and Betts) it's a pipe tape that sticks to everything BUT pipe! works great on vapor barriers.

Today was a little tense! There are some things on these cars you only get one shot at and Drilling holes in the new body work is one of them.

I started with a mylar template ,transfered that to a test piece of sheet metal and then once I confirmed the mylar template was good, I taped it to the body and centered punched. The first hole is always the worst......

Well, Its been a while since I updated the thread.
Since rebuilding the doors I've done the following:
-replaced the front rotors and bearings
-Installed my new bumper tops from 914 Rubber.
-got the beast to run after 2 weeks of trouble shooting and replacing, Plugs, Wires,CHT. But the real problem to my start?Stall issue was the MPS.

Now its on to the wiring cleanup with a new modern fuse box and a re-tape of the harness.

She's getting there......today was a nice day and I added the side negative stripes
