What have people done as an alternative to the spare tire pressure for the windshield washer pressure? Has anyone tried tapping into the air emissions pump pressure? Or installed an aftermarket electric pump? Recommendations? J

I used a 911 pump. Works great, is readily available, looks suspiciously like the 914/6 electric pump and best of all, is from Porsche!
Well, this is embarrassing. It seems like i lost the video.
Make a new one...

...And the 911 pump is no longer so readily available. And, at least in my wife's 911, likes to seize up, possibly getting gummed up with the stuff in the fluid??

Fixed! Found an old copy on my harddrive and uploaded it to youtube ...
Funny how these seemingly insignificant little videos can become part of the cultural knowledge base. Glad you were able to find it.

The "gummed up" is likely from the failure to use w/s washer solvent in the appropriate concentration and to not using the system often enough. That "gum" is probably algal growth in the washer bottle.
