There was a blue '74 914 offered for sale on E Bay three years ago that supposedly had been used by George Harrison at his house in Hawaii. He did like a good car but it sounded a little iffy

I was talking with Charlie @ AA last week . or two . He tells me that AA just finished a 6 restore for Chip Ganassy ( <---spell ? ) It was going to be trailered to Daytona for delivery . He took delivery before the 500 .

1970 914 celebrity race

Randy Rhoads, Guitarist for Ozzy had a -6 that was orig. canary yellow and he had it painted black.

Nikki Sixx from the band Motley Crew had a black 914, back in the early 80's. Crashed it in Mulholland canyon.

The late Vic Morrow once owned a '75 2.0, metallic green. It was up for Sale in 1985 on my neighbors used car lot in Culver City. Vic lost his life during the filming of The Twilight Zone.

There is some guy named Eric out in Utah that rebuilds Porsche brakes (you may have seen the eleventy billion ads in Pano and Excellence). His car was in Pano a few months back.

I was driving my 914 in Dartmouth, Devon, UK, in November 2013 when a bearded character jumped out into the road in front of me & flagged me down. I think he said that he had 3 914/6s, one of which had been rallied by Bjorne Waldegard. We talked briefly but traffic was stacking up behind me so had to move on. "By the way," he said, "I'm JK from Jamiroquai."

Brian Johnson from ACDC owns a (former Brumos Porsche) 914/6GT.

Yep thats the same Jeff :confused:lol but Im pretty sure he did'nt bring his car all the way down here to run it in this event. Interesting about Ann B Davis owing 3 914's because she lived here in Boerne up till about 2013. On occasion in the past 14 years 914's come though town but my 75 is the only one I know still here.

Dennis Aase, of the Asse Bros. Porsche dismantler dynasty, canAm, IMSA gtu + gtp driver, including a team driver for Gurney's All American Racers, had some 914s in his ownership. Most memorable the Troutman built 914 pickup truck, today owned by Kevin at Gunnar Racing.
His other mid engine Porsches were 904, 906, 962 . He's running a 911 IMSA team today. Awesome guy to know !
