hey guys, don't get too caught up on the url for the webpage. That is only a small part of the overall plan.

Just finding a name that really works is A#1 most important thing at this point.
seanery
I own Need4Speed.tv and that's about as good a URL as one could ask for.

Some good idea's coming in.

This will primarily be for the US market..so easy spelling is best. I like Zuffenhausen.. but its too long and covers a very broad range.

Stuttgart Garage

It sounds very German to me!

Karl
Qarl
How about..

Autosport Garage!
Qarl
Never undersestimate the power of a cool sounding German word.

Remember Fahrvergenugen! That did wonders for VW!
Brad Roberts
Hum.. I like Autosport, but it doesnt say "Porsche" without saying...well.. "Porsche"

How did Porsche come up with the name Christopherous ?

garage in german means your "garage" at home where you park yer car at night.
it does not mean "garage" as in a shop that works on cars ...

Andy
SirAndy
a shop that works on cars would be a

Werkstatt

...
Brad Roberts
OK.. so tell me "Oh German Wise one" what is the term for "repair facility" in German.

German Autosport

German Autosports

This starts getting closer and closer to thinking about Porsche when you hear the name...
Brad Roberts
Ahh posted at the same time.

How about Research+Development in German ??

B
Brad Roberts
It could also mean BMW/Mercedes/VW.. though.

Stuttgart makes you think Porsche imediately..or Zuffenhausen.

for me it does.
but i would love to hear one of you guys try to pronounce it laugh.gif
seanery
Garage works, it implies in America...either a shop or your garage...where your Porschey parks or in Germany the place you park your Porschey.

Either way, it works....don't be too literal.

I can say it, probably correctly even...but it aint pretty!
SirAndy

alright,

Pee-Garage

it is then!
Andy

Thank you for "XXXXXXXX" Stuttgart Garage. I'm your host Brad Roberts.. see you next week.

It sounds ok. Kinda hard to make it flow.

I'm your host Brad Roberts, see you next week..in the Stuttgart Garage.

Hum.. doesnt really "feel" correct.

B
Brad Roberts
Initials would be SG..like SG1.

B
seanery
this is clutch mc...see you next week at the gart!
SirAndy

btw. the pronounciation is something like:

Schdooooohdgaaardh

the SCH is important, not like SH or ST, more long, like SCCCCCH,
like when i say SCCCHTUFF ...
Andy
Jeff Krieger
Porschvergnugen!
Brad Roberts
I would use the "redneck" pronunciation of Stuttgart.

"Stut Gart"

Ha ha.. I love that "Clutch MC" title.. makes me laugh every time I see it.

I am sorry..I thought I chose some gay names...but you beat me to it..lol rolleyes.gif
Qarl
Okay BMW maybe... but I usally don't think about VWs or Mercedes (Yes I know Mercedes has some nice racecars) when I think of German Performance or racing cars.

VW = small efficient German cars (the Honda of Germany)

Mercedes = big German sedans and smokey turbodiesels

But I get your point...

I still like..

I'm your host Brad Roberts, see you next week on "It's Pronounced POR-SHA you idiot!" Good-Bye!
Brad Roberts
Good one Karl.. clap56.gif

Think more like the the "Osbournes"..

"See you next week on F-ing Por-sha...idiots"
