Just install an electric pump
Check the classic thread forum for instructions.
I installed a 924 wiper switch, which has an extra switch for the pump. Do a search, lots of other options for the switch.

Sir Andy pioneered a method using 944 parts if I recall.

I believe it's in the Lapuwalli Classics

Do you have a part number for that wiper switch? I'd like to do this also, but not sure which one to order. Thanks!

Either Pelican's article is out-of-date (or has bad part numbers), or Pelican doesn't carry that switch anymore. Doing a search for that part number brings up listings for lightweight flywheels.

agree.gif The most efficient way to go. You won't need those check valves with the electric pump ( one less thing to maintain )

Google search also locates the same part in the ’74 Karmann Ghia, and ’74 to ’79 Beetle
