TO ORDER A CALENDAR - Go here - http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=267881

CALL FOR CALENDAR PHOTOS:
Here is the call for photos for the 2016 calendar. The calendar will be random photos again (not based on a theme). We are looking for early, late, 6s, LEs, race cars, and we would really love to see some before/after pictures. The final 13 photos will be chosen by a poll on 914world.

Post your pictures in this thread. Please make sure you have a high resolution version of the photo that can be used. Please also only submit photos that you own the rights to, and that any people in the photo whose face is shown agrees to have it printed in the calendar.

Note: If your car was one of the 13 cars featured in the 2015 calendar please don't submit the same photo. You can submit your car, just not the same exact photo. So that we don't end up with duplicates in 2016. Just to clarify: Only the specific 13 pictures from the 2015 calendar (1 for each month, and the cover picture) are excluded from the 2016 calendar contest. The cars themselves are not excluded. For example, if the owner of the car on the cover of the 2015 calendar wants to submit a different photo of the same car, he is welcome to do that. The final pictures used will be chosen by vote on 914world.

The poll to choose the 13 cars featured in the 2016 calendar will start November 7, 2016.

CALL FOR 2016 EVENTS:
If you are organizing or know of a 914-related event in 2016, please post it in this thread. We would like to include as many events in the calendar as possible.

Schedule for the 2016 calendar:
Call for Photos - September 23, 2015
Group Buy to purchase calendars - October 1st to November 29th; $12.99 each, including shipping.
914 Photos due by October 30, 2015
914 Photo Contest poll - November 1st to November 15th
Sponsor materials deadline - November 10th
Calendar ships - December 11, 2015

What we really need is an image that will not fall below about 260 DPI (300 DPI is ideal), when the photo is blown up to a size of 8.5" by 11". And it needs to be a horizontal orientation (sometimes we can make portrait images work, but, not often). Last year we stretched a couple photos (went below 260 DPI) and they worked fine. But, depending on the light in the image, it doesn't always work. So, a good rule of thumb - 300 DPI.

Email me the picture you have in mind and I can tell you in 5 minutes whether it will work.

I had this in last year's, so I should be ineligible, but I thought the picture was too good not to share!

Great picture.

This picture wasn't in last year's calendar. So it is eligible. Just to clarify: Only the specific 13 pictures from the 2015 calendar (1 for each month, and the cover picture) are excluded from the 2016 calendar contest. The cars themselves are not excluded. Awesome photos. It helps if they are horizontal pictures (landscape). Sometimes with the portrait ones, they aren't wide enough to flip sideways and use in a calendar. Just something to keep in mind when taking pictures of your car.
