And the seller didn't show any pics of the hell hole. $5,500 seems steep for a car in that condition that hasn't run in 20 years, but let's see. Will post back once I learn more...

I spoke with the seller. Seems like a good guy. The big issue is the the car hasn't been driven in...wait for it... 23 years! All the tires, rubber and seals are dry-rotted. Unknown if the engine turns, the brakes are seized, or if the transmission works at all. There's definitely a rusty cowl and probably more lurking around. Seems high at 5K for that many unknowns. Needs a ton of work to get back on the road. I'm up for a restoration, but not at 5K. We'll see if he's open to negotiation. Or reducing the unknowns.

It's amazing when someone asks all the money yet fails to take two, maybe three, minutes to vacuum and clear the cockpit of junk?! That inattention to detail usually means there's issues.
