Can you put prices on the 3 cars ? Thought this was compulsory in this section ?

Krgds

First thing I did in the opening statement, Dax. Please which one are you interested in purchasing?

Sorry my mistake perhaps but I just kinda lost track

First post was :

1973 Porsche 914 with 2.0 green 10,500
1973 Porsche 914 2.0 red 12,500
1976 Porsche 914 2.0 red 21,500
1974 Porsche 914 2.0 limited edition black 26,500
1976 Porsche 914 2.0 black 12,500
1976 Porsche 914 2.0 blue (may be sold) 25,500
1976 Porsche 914 2.0 orange 14,500

I have to ship and import so I’m in the 15 k range.
Is it possible to list the cars for sale separately ? I see lots of pics of the red and green one but where is the info and pics of the nepal orange one ?

Yes as soon as we are finished, we will be listing the cars with full pictures and specs. We plan on putting a set of white positive stripes on the 73 red one to make it look like the original advertisement

Finally we are about ready to install the heater tube muffler and close off the longitudinal. We will of course first coat the metal. Notice the reconstructed Door jamb We wasted a replacement door jamb, just using the bottom part of it.

dr914@autoatlanta.com
We have finished the inner wheel well repair and are proceeding to install the front of the inner rocker and then cap it off with the bottom of the lock post. This area, believe it or not, is where the 914 flexes the most, and the factory used three layers of metal here: The back of the inner wheel house, the inner rocker, and finally the lock post to make it strong. Very important to repair these areas strongly

When reading (somewhat skimming) this thread, it is impossible to tell what is really being sold. Admins should delete this "for sale" thread or move it to the garage.

Further threads should be "single car per thread" unless you are truly selling a set/group of cars together.

But the thread is really easy to find. Keep checking.

914rubber sells a replacement dash pad to replace the cracked one.

yes and they are very nice, Mark is a tremendous asset to the 914 community. Without him investing several hundred thousand dollars in tooling, we would not have many of the great and inexpensive aftermarket products for these cars.

We have not put so much time into this green car that we will soon be beyond the threshold of even making a buck on it! The new owner can bathe it in some of the beautiful parts Mark AND we make for the car!

The orange 76 has been repainted nepal orange base coat clear coat and as you can see has been completely stripped for a good overspray free job. They are sanding and buffing and will return it to us next week where we will begin reassembly. This will be a very nice car.

well we have sold the green one and the blue one. We are now concentrating on the nepal orange 76. It is going to be a beautiful car, the paint came out great. We are gutting the interior to clean it and will be installing genuine german loop carpeting along with the orange plaid seats. Wait until you see the finished photos!!!!
dr914@autoatlanta.com
we have very fashionable mechanics here at Automobile Atlanta. Their gloves match the car they are working upon.

Blue one is about ready to deliver now and sold, just finishing the finals, and the orange one is now being stripped for cleanup and then a perfect reassembly. We will be replacing the dash and upper padding, the windshield and the carpet among other things. This California original has just turned out too nice to compromise perfection! paint is perfect but we just rolled it in from under the shelter into the shop and it was rained upon, but not bad. Those things in the paint are rain drops! Good observation!!!!

yes, do you mean the one in the engine compartment in the firewall, the one inside the car behind the back pad, or the actual vinyl covered back pad?

I would think that's before all the work that was done on it. Sure you can debate whether or not $9K of work was done on it... I think it's a pretty stunning example.

good to know but how do you set price (in yr initial ad) without knowing what you will find ? Will you still sell it at 12 K now that you found this (and perhaps other issues ?).
Just asking as I had nearly closed a deal on a car which looked great but where rust was discovered during ppi and price went up to get it fixed

I knew that I had to do some repair, but this was a good car with a margin in it, Just to give you an idea, I purchased it for 5000 plus 550 to get it here. Therefore I have 7500 to repair and make a small profit and put another 914 back on the road. This car has credential, has never been hit, and has all of the paperwork. PLUS we do cars like this all of the time, make the parts to repair, and can Zip through it as this damage is not bad at all. We have repaired MUCH worse (like brutus the 916!!!!) Anyway I am going to post pictures as we proceed so you can see how the repair is done, and how relatively easy it is. Steel rocker panels will go back on as well

1973 Porsche 914 with 2.0 green new fuchs wheels complete service sold
1973 Porsche 914 2.0 red in restoration 19,500 when finished
1976 Porsche 914 2.0 red ready to deliver 23,500

1976 Porsche 914 2.0 black runs great needs cosmetics 13,500
1976 Porsche 914 2.0 blue sold
1976 Porsche 914 2.0 orange paint just finished, will reassemble then be 23,500
1976 Porsche 914 2.0 white working on it, red plaid seats, red stripes 13,500 when finished

Yes, It is confusing.

Well...I stand corrected. I must have missed that post somewhere that the $14,500 price INCLUDED repairs. Now the $23,500 price makes me think twice. Still a beautiful 914!

Thank you. Like any 914 refresh we wound up putting much more time in this car that we thought that we would have to. As it became nicer and nicer, we just had to make it even nicer than that. Result? A near perfect 914 driver quality car that even I would consider keeping as my daily, and that says a lot coming from me.

Just sold it yesterday

well the Frenchman who bought the car, filled out his buyers contract and gave us a nice deposit sent this to me this morning: Hi George,

I received bas news from the bank last friday.

I won't be able to confirm my purchasing of the 1976 Orange 914 I was interested in on my visit of 02/08/2018.

I hope you will find quickly someone for buying this car.

I apologize for the change and thank you for the time you spent with me.

N* C*

One would think, that one would secure their money before making looking at many cars, then driving down several hours and agreeing to purchasing one! I never heed the expression 'nothing is sold until the money is in the bank" Hence the car is still for sale

George,
I am looking for a rust free tub of a late model 75 or 76 914. It needs to have the correct mounting holes for the late model rubber bumpers. If you have one or know where one is please get back to me. Thanks!
dr914@autoatlanta.com
Here is the 1975 white 2.,0 we are working on. It will be a nice driver quality car, complete with red plaid seats. It will be mechanically perfect, but not a perfect car, as it has an older appliance white (rather than light ivory) paint job, and we did a bit of rust repair from sitting water.
