My count was 42 914's and some wanna be watercooled Porsches.

Yes we missed the turn off. But the downhill twisties at speed was a hell of a fun drive

It was great to get out and meet some so cal 914 guys today. One day total mileage record was scored at 207 miles. Had to cut it short but had a great time. Thanks all.

oh No! that is why only few 914s we saw while my son-in-law took a video when I pulled to the side just before the parking area in Mountain Park stop. I thought several didn’t really planned to join the stop there.

What a righteous turnout you guys had....good for you! Love all of those cars. Jeffery...what was your total mileage for the day? I would have added at least 30 more had I joined. As it was, I put on about 175 miles today coming home from Pismo Beach. At one point my right front wheel was making some noise so I pulled over and touched the hub and it was hot! Driver side just warm so I think I have to give the front wheel bearings some TLC. Made it home and all is good. Great picture Bruce with the wide angle....you guys had a blast! Catch up on the next one.

@Mike D. and 914 RZ-1 drove 332 miles. (We both have long hair, so maybe we should use this emoji: )We came from the SCV. I actually had to get gas with my 1.7L!

THANK YOU to all who attended our drive this morning. Special shout out to all the new faces, from Santa Barbara, San Diego area, Palm Springs, Vegas, etc…. I saw nothing but smiles throughout the day, plus some beautiful cars. Water pumpers were well represented too. It was odd trying to social distance, wearing mask, not hugging or shaking hands, however I couldn’t have had a better time. All of you ROCK. And in my thoughts today were also those who couldn’t make it for whatever reason, local or distant. SUPER special shout out to Matt of 914Rubber….dude was everywhere with his camera or drone. Thank you for supporting us.

Finally, Chucky was well behaved most of the day with the exception of our drive to Temecula from Corona. On our way down the 15 fwy three 911 GT3’s came up upon me quickly while I was attempting to eat a sandwich my wife prepped. Out of nowhere they prodded me with downshifting. Needless to say, I put my sandwich down and showed them my taillights. Bad Chucky…. Bad Chucky…

Guys and Gals…we need more outings like today. Blood pressure dropped 20 points today!!!

Any one know who was in the Camaro? I would like to see there pictures

at first we are wondering why that camaro do a faster speed then slows down then repeat again several times. Then later we noticed the car was taking pics and maybe videos but mostly with the 2 911.

And yes they may have nice pics of today’s drive specifically from Corona to 1st stop to Temecula group 2 meet and heading to Casino place.

My son-in-law (my navigator) did took some gopro videos and I will check it if I can do a video to share.

Thank you Coondog and everyone else who made this event happen. This was our first run with World members and Kathleen and I had a blast. I doubt I even met half of those who attended but it was great to meet everyone we did and see some really cool cars. We look forward to the next run so we can meet more of you. My car had a heck of a noise that I think is a rear wheel bearing but we made it back to Oak Hills and none of the hubs were overly hot so not sure. We left the café early and went through Idyllwild to get home and save miles in case a bearing did give up. That is a pretty cool drive, we should do a quick trip there sometime. My family and I had a blast. We got to meet up with some old friends and making new ones. Maybe next year I will have my car up and running so we could join the group convoy.

Fantastic attendance.

Perfect meet up on the freeway. we were waiting, at most 2 mins, until a band of mixed Porsches drove on by.

I think I did a bit over 200 miles and strangely have what appears to be over 1/2 a tank of gas left, won't really know if that's "real" until I fill up. Car ran perfect all day without issues, in fact, didn't seem that anyone really had any issues that left them roadside which, in itself, is freaking awesome

I foundly remember us attending Laguna Seca Historics together in my old motorhome 22 yrs ago.....great times then, better times NOW. And, regrettably we haven't aged as nicely as our cars.
