I would love to make this, but gonna have to wait until I am retired. I will need two days to get there and two days to get back (it is a 10hr ride and this body can barely handle 5hrs per day in those stock seats). One more year of this work ish and I will be ready.

If you drive fast it doesn’t take as long.

Thank you for the compliment. But we are getting older. We are trailering my 914 to Red Rocks this year. And we have done that for a few years now. We used to drive both 914s to events like Red Rocks.

Maybe we will again when Betty's 914 gets back from the body shop. We don't want to put miles of just cross country driving on the original six.

Its a bummer this runs the same time as RRC. My sister has been bugging me to get out to TN and visit her and I would love to meet more of the eastern 914 crew.

and pretty sure if I miss RRC this year I will be shunned given its all of 8 miles from my house.

In the past, RRC has generally been a weekend or two before OKT with one year the same (when one of the days was 9/14)

It is bound to happen as September is a busy month for driving events.
There's also a long-running swap meet in the Northeast that is held the third Saturday of September.

So... Maybe you can make it to TN next year if there is no conflict

Pretty sure 2024 will have conflict again since Saturday is 9/14

@914pipe Actually, registration is still open as I haven't had a chance to pull the link.

I will leave it open a few more days.

As for lodging in the area, there are several choices. Google "Townsend TN lodging" and pick something

Yeah, a bit on the warm side but I was more concerned about rain. Looks like we should have a dry event

Plus, it will be a bit cooler on the drives up into the mountains.

send a PM to Steve but i would say come on over! there is limited space probably for the banquet i would expect but i bet there are people that at the last minute that cannot make it, so join in the fun, i dont see why you could not joint the drives and hang out with the clan, plenty of room. and the car show is saturday morning so bring that speedster and 914 over !!.

@ChipP Yes, come on over to the Car Show on Saturday morning 9:14 til Noon.
After that you can hang out as it is free time until the Banquet in the evening which is closed to non-attendees.
