You mentioned Chilis....not Hooters? laugh.gif

We could do Hooters. Right now I'm burnt out on the chicken sandwhich. On the way thru Texas we stopped at Hooters. On the way back thru Texas we stopped at 2 different Hooters..and we had just done the SF Hooters event. I havent spent much time in Indy recently.. but I'm questioning the "quality" of employees a Indy Hooters might have... laugh.gif

Brad,
You're welcome to either pilot or co-pilot seat in my car for the event. w00t.gif MDB2.gif

Sean,

The wife and I still plan to come down Friday late afternoon/ evening. Would you guys
be open for two more, not sure if we would be there for dinner, but maybe a have a
soda or two. Still ok for us to crash at your place???
Doug Leggins
I've got a garage that can be used for a tech session. I'm in Nashville only about 2 miles from the state park. Plenty of parking in the drive and in a field/yard provided it stays dry. No lift in the garage, but it does have a pit. - kinda scary sometimes looking at the bottom of some of these cars.

Also, some pretty neat Chevy's to look at in the garage. My Father-in-law has a garage adjacent to my property. He used to run the local Chevrolet dealership. over the years he kept a few vettes and camaros - mostly indy pace car replicas. Actually some pretty cool stuff in the garage. My favorites are a 57 fuelie (not orig fuelie but looks beautiful) and a 5 mi 78 pace car.

Sean - Let's talk about a tech session. Has the installation of Mueller's roller bearings been done yet? If we do a tech session we can use someone else's car, or I will gladly offer my 73 restoration project up for a tech session. It is still a shell on a rotisserie and boxes and boxes of parts in the gargae, house, basement and 2nd garage. But, we should be able to find something that is ready to work on.

Dinner - I should be able to make it. Anyplace on the southside that will work?
seanery
Garold,
Yes, it's still ok for you to crash here. Brad will have to sleep on the couch. What time do you plan on coming in on Friday?

Doug,
Let's think of a place in Greenwood. Tech session, I dunno, what did you have in mind? I don't think anyone around here has Meuller's bearings. confused24.gif

Brad,
Sorry your on the couch, it's big though.

Dan,
Is Greenwood ok with you?

Anyone else?
Craig? IndyDad?
Brad Roberts
Oh.. man.. I'll find out where my sisters new house is...LOL

I like the tech session idea in the garage near the drive.

Bring all the questions/parts/cars you want me to look at.

Greenwood works for me. What time are we planning for dinner?

I'm not too familiar with whats in Greenwood, but I'm sure there's plenty to choose from. Maybe BW3?
seanery
BW3 sounds good to me. Anyone else care to comment?
kafermeister
I would chime in on food but I am not yet sure how my Friday is going to shape up. Seems family has already made plans for Friday believing I was going to be available. Is the tech session to be on Friday or Saturday?

Rick
Brad Roberts
Saturday after the run is fine with me.

Take charge Sean. I'm just riding along on this one.

seanery
Doug,

what do you think about a caravan to your shop around 4 or 4:30?
Doug Leggins
Timing is good.

What about a tech session topic?

Sean,

Looks like we will be leaving here around 4:30pm so it should put us in Indy by 7:00pm at the latest. Don't
wait on us for dinner. I will PM you with my mobile number, call us if we are not in Indy when you leave
for dinner.

Hey,
Just a stupid question. I just got wind of this "been in Cancun on vacation". Is this just a run only and not a swap? I missed the last swap meet in indy and I'm sick! I need some parts to finish my car!

Thanks!!!
seanery
Fun Run only.
If you've got stuff or need stuff post it and maybe those attending can bring it/them/those if they have them. confused24.gif

thanks for organising! sorry logistics didn't permit our attendance, but 2 new jobs == no vacation time :-(
worked out for the best 'cause i still don't have the 911's ignition back together - it's gonna be a long day...

we'll put it on the calendar for next year - i've always loved that part of the country and would like to get back to see it again.
seanery
we got lucky and missed the traffic. we changed the tail end of the route (Curvie thought we needed another shirt with the NEW map on it!) to avoid the throngs of traffic in the town and entered the park through the equestrian entrance (which isn't allowed, but she musta liked the little square cars).

We bs'd for a while and took some pics and then went to Doug Leggins house. He's got a sweet spread with a couple garages and some really sweet rides in there like:
57 Vette Fuelie
54 Vette
86 Vette pace car 8 miles, never titled
95 Vette pace car
98 Vette pace car
78 Vette pace car
28 Chevy cabriolet
69 Camaro pace car
67 RS/SS Camaro
82 Camaro pace car 7 miles, never titled
92? Camaro pace car 5 miles(?) never titled

Also got some shots checking out his nice tub on a rotisserie and checked out his assortment of used parts. He accumulated a lot in a short time!

then the remaining group of 5 went to feast at the 5 star restaurant known as......

get this....

oh, it was just Denny's HAHA!
