trim for best glide, squawk 7700, identify your nearest landing area, FLY THE AIRPLANE to a controlled landing.
'course it depends where you are, too. at MEV, it's no big deal, because you are still on the ground ...

Look for that landing field (go with the furrows not against them). Here that would only be about 500ft. Not much time to think...
Dub motors have been used for quite some time in homebuilt applications. The Type IV being the best of them, I wouldn't have any reservations going up with one.
