First, my father passes away on the 9th, then I get a phone call today from my best friends wife. Many of you know him as Joe Buckle, the BBQ master of the So Cal contingent, he is in the hospital tonight and they may admit him. I just got home from there, he is awake and says he is fine but his heart monitor says otherwise. The doctor says he is A-Fib, I am not sure what it means but I do know, it is not a good thing. We need the power of Prayer again from all of you as I dont think I could take another loss in my life this close to my father passing. For those who dont know him, he is one of those kinds of people that is rare in todays world, He is a great father of two beautiful girls, has been blessed with a wonderful and understanding wife and is the type of guy who you would be proud to call your friend. I will be going back over there tomorrow to check on him and will post up any information I get afterwords.
My prayer? Dear God, please dont take my friend. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Bad thing happen to good people.
Good people do bad things to themselves. My Dad smoked and drank for most of his life until he started getting arythmia. Stanford Medical had to shock his heart back into rhythm. Docs said if he didn't quit smoking and drinking he would die. 15 years later and he's still kicking. He quit smoking and drinking, thank God, and I still have my Dad. =-) And he picked up bike riding and walking.... I believe they will be just fine. Prayers out to your family. And don't have a drink on me (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif) ... Have a hug on me. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/grouphug.gif) =-)))) I' just glad he's getting this warning sign and not getting that "E" ticket ride into the sky. I know a guy who's a lot younger who got that E ticket..... 32 years old. |
