Asked vendor at VW show if he had any vintage TN tags with "914" He told me to take a look in his stash. First tag I pulled out...

His is also white, have only seen his car in pictures, never in person.

Personalized plate I got in 1975, the first year they offered them in Iowa. At first you could only have 6 letters so this was the only way I could spell it. That actually is the 1975 plate- I just added the little stickers to it over the years.
Now I have AZ plates on it with the in service date of 11 11 70.Attached Image
