Yes the outer scraper on the late cars were superseded with the 911 profile.
Yes it's a more robust profile, but it also grips the glass more. This is even more true when it's new. So some have lubricated them, others have baked them both with some success, but the real problem is it was never really designed for the application. So you all know me I can't just leave something alone. we made a significant improvement to the product. See the seal that is like OEM below. Attached thumbnail(s) |

We do have the correct "Early" scraper seal you will see below -

As part of the GB you have the option to add in the tracks that hold them at a price that makes the scrapers The aluminum track holds the rubber outer scrapers and the inner fuzzey against the window (see below). The problem with the aluminum tracks is many DAPO's have used screw drivers to open up the channel to insert the rubber. The rubber can be stretched them pushed in with some lubrication.... once again lubrication is your friend. Attached thumbnail(s) Attached image(s) |
