Any excuse to bump this to the top and be sure folks get registered! Here's something I'm noodling on for the awards, just in case you're interested: - laser etched anodized aluminum These are pieces to test the process, nail down a couple design elements and prove out the quality. They aren't to scale or layout but the final pieces should be pretty cool. So get registered! You may already be a winner! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) Those look awesome! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif) |

Getting psyched. I wonder who will win longest distance traveled. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) For me it will be about 2200 miles each way. I usually plan on 600 mile days because I am old and in the way. However, there are those who plan on longer trips to get to WCR. I plan to take the 3.2. I installed taller gears, but no heat, nor AC. I figure that when new, these cars made little of a transcontinental trip. Unless of course they broke down. |

That being said, you couldn't pick a better place to breakdown than one of these events. Usually lots of spare parts and tons of experience. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

WOW! Looks like 58 attendees so far. Even if the usual 10% backout it should still be a Grand Event Eddy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I just sent payment for Nancy and me. We will likely will flat-tow Nancy's stock green-resprayed 1975 914 instead of my Suby-powered beast. Looking forward to it!

@waltonsm got your registration thank you . Did you book a room yet and where ? Thanks and can’t wait to see that beast .. Thanks for following up! I am booked across the street… at the Blue Coast Inn I think. Just started the logistics discussion with my friend Mike who will be joining, and helped a lot on the car along the way. We will be driving from Seattle and hope to join as many activities as we can, but honestly not sure what days/times for arrival or departure yet. Looking forward to it! Steve |

Did you get my PayPal? I would like an extra shirt if possible. Can send more money.
Looking at the map (paper) it looks like one route would cross the desert in eastern Oregon. Going perhaps through Burns. I toured that region 50 years ago and wonder if it is wise for a person my age driving a car close to my age across fairly sparsely populated country. Any thoughts? The computers says I90 and then through the gorge. That has the appeal of 101. |
