Anyone within driving distance to Burlington MA (20 min from Boston) interested in a winter gathering? I was figuring on just having a BS session to discuss projects, 914, and what not. My initial thought was late January, early February on a Saturday afternoon.

If I can get enough interest, I'll put on something. Thoughts, comments, sneers, cheers, abuses?

Is this some kind of rust reunification program?

My initial thought was late January, early February on a Saturday afternoon.

1/31->2/1 is the 24 Hrs of Daytona.

if you've got SPEED and a BIG TV, it could happen...

if ComCast can ever make their HiDef DVI interface work, i may just invite Vortrex up to Montgomery County and we can do our own SEPA gathering. ya know, i bet his bigscreen TV is even bigger than mine - maybe we'll just go there ...

I might be able to make it depending on what date you zero in on, and whether or not a blizzard has been scheduled for that weekend.

By the way, how many of us are there in / near "New England", and how are we spread out? Might be useful for planning future get togethers.

I'd be interested, depending on the weather, and other schedule conflicts. Count me as a strong "maybe".

The question "how many here are in New England?" has come up before, but I can't remember the thread topic or who started it. I think it was about starting a resto shop in somewhere in MA.

Maybe we should start a topic just for a NE roll call (and no doubt *someone* will suggest it be renamed a "rust-call") (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Hey admins: Would it be hard to implement a sort of the members list by state?

Hey! I am about a hour from you....914 is put away for the winter but I am game for a get together...

How about F1 Boston? They have the big screen and I am sure that they will show the 24 hour race....

At this time, I am a potential maybe........ (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

head east, keep driving until you run out of land, turn left, keep driving until you see a lot of stone fences, then you're in the neighborhood. Look for a big city. Stop at a red light, count to 3 after the light turns green before you start up again. If the people behind you start honking, you're in New York. If the people behind you never stopped to begin with, you're in Boston. React accordingly.

Ok B, Drive east for about 3000 miles, then call me. I made if from Malmz house in a 1.7 in 65.5 hours, so that should be a good ballpark for you... knock off 10 hours if you don't stop.

How many [914s] are around here? I must have had a dozen at my house last summer. and I know of many more that didn't show. There is a good 914 contingent in the area, we just need to get everyone on the same page (or site).

I tried the F1 thing last year and it was a flop. Granted I did make a mistake of doing a weekday evening and a snow storm didn't help either. I was thinking of just doing Coffee and desert kinda thing; very informal and loose unless I could get some help planning.

I'll be in unless the wife is working or something. It's rained
and been warm enough that I could drive the -6 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif).

For the rest of you who asked, there are quite a few 914
people in our area (eastern mass, southern nh), although
most are not on this list. I've had 2 tech-type get-togethers
in the last 2 years. On the last one I had over 30 people RSVP;
but of course I caused it to snow (this is in April!) and only 21
could actually traverse the roads. Anybody send me your email
address if you want me to keep you on the list for any future
ones. I may try to set up something through PCA again in
April.

I am now working in burlington. I actually drove the teener today down from NH.

I love it when its 30 degrees out, top off and heat on. No traffic this week too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif)

I am in. F1-Boston would be cool.
I was going to show up at the last gathering last summer but my daughter got sick and ended up in the hospital for the wknd.

I'm located 15 minutes east of Hartford. If you get a chance while you're here give me a call. 860 647-8719.

I might be able to make it to a get-together, depending on date and weather, and I can provide 914 video entertainment if desired. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
