I did. I got 5 miles from the house threw a rod, towed it home and will get the engine re-built and back in just in time. Phew!!

Well, here's yet another year I won't be there ... still have too many irons in the fire. Recently got back from AZ late in February and had our annual Mojave Desert camping trip, middle of March. We need to be at function in LB on 4/28, and then run back to AZ again in May to finish up some carpentry repairs & exterior painting. I've been spending way too much time on the road to try sneaking another long trip in between

Too funny, I just google mapped the city name and the only thing around was that Burger King and dinosaur. But that works as a meeting place.

One week to go, time to get your car off jack stands and ready for Rt 66.

Friday's plan is to stop for lunch at Arrowhead Bar & Grill in Congress, AZ. I called and they can handle our group size. I have not been there but it got good reviews. This also the Shuttle location for the Arizona Hot Shots Memorial. The memorial is 5 miles north of Congress and the parking lot only has 13 spaces so we'll need to take the shuttle. For those that feel inclined to hike up to the memorial trail, bring appropriate footwear and some water. The total hike is 7 miles but it's an out-and-back so you can go as far as you like. More info is HERE. . Note the "out" part has a fair amount of climbing. Those not wanting to hike can continue the drive along Rt 89A to the hotel in Prescott.

I'm thinking Saturday's lunch stop will be in Old Town Cottonwood but we can adjust as needed; there's plenty of small towns along Saturday's drive.

Where are those heading east on I-10 from So. Cal meeting up Thursday morning? Based on the discussion back on page 8 of this thread, I thought it was going to be 9:00 at the "In-n-Out on Ramon Dr & the 10." I've made arrangement to stay in Palm Desert Wednesday night. If the group is now going to meet in Cabazon at 8, can you swing by the In-N-Out to pick up those of us who are gathering there? What time?

Really don't want to leave earlier than necessary and backtrack 25 miles.

Preparing and cleaning up for the trip. I bought this jar of Zymol 25 years ago. If you keep it in the frig. it will last forever. Now when I break down I'll at least look good at the side of the road.

Free for attendees. I will be visiting PMS early in the week to look at the shirts (they were not in as of Friday) and will get a price for non-attendees.

Does anyone want to meet at the Tustin Cars & Coffee at around 6:30am Thursday morning? There’s no cars & Coffee Thursday morning, but it’s right off of the 55 for us south Orange County Guys heading to 91 East. We could easily make it to Cabazon by 8.

We could swing by, it’s around 25 miles down the 10. Get there around 8:30
Or just skip Cabazon and drive straight to in & out on Ramon.

We'll wait for the arrival of the group at the In-n-Out on Ramon Dr. & the 10 (Bob Hope Dr. exit) @ 8:30.

I will be at Cabazon at 7am Thurs ( I'm an early riser).
However, willing to meet up others in Palm Springs no later than 8:30....then "On The Road Again"

If we leave Tustin Cars & Coffee at 6:30 or 6:00 (either works for me), it will get us to Cabazon at around 7:30 and then get to In&Out at 8. Leave In&out no later than 8:30. I think everyone will be happy with that. If no one wants to meet in Tustin, I will drive straight to Cabazon. There's a burger king there. I can get a high cholesterol breakfast.

Didn't look thru the whole thread for updates- what time is the BBQ on Thursday? And what can we bring besides ourselves???

I just checked on mine and the one I booked in Scottsdale had been CANCELED with no explanation as to why. And the room in Williams "had not been confirmed".

All fixed now, but just thought I would let you guys know.

You guys have fun and post lots of pics! After my wife cleared and blocked her work schedule 2 months ago so I could attend, the next week they unblocked put her on a different trip at the same time. I'll be back west for the 2020 party!
