Which one? Pelican or Enderle?
I'm going to the Pelican Cars & Coffee and then the open house afterwards. The guy from Wheelers and Dealers will also be at the open house. The big guy won't be there. He has moved on. bummer... I loved that show. The new show is still pretty good.

FB page for Porsche & Pastries (at Enderle) says the next event is March 17 (3rd Saturday of each month.) Looks like a trip up to Pelican might be the better way to go next weekend. Anyone up for a meet up before heading north? Maybe somewhere near John Wayne Airport or IKEA Costa Mesa before blasting up the 405?

Raining up in Trabuco since 8 this morning.
Porsches and Pastries at Enderele Center (in Tustin at 17th St. exit on the 55) next weekend? Let's see how many 914s we can get to show up!
We had over 20 for Seal Beach just a couple months ago and there were over 20 at the Phoenix Club last weekend.
This is a PCA-OCR event open to all.

Wow! Do you live in Trabuco Canyon? Lucky guy. Back in the 70s, when I had my 1st 914, that used to be one of my favorite runs. I'd drive all the way in to the bird sanctuary and back. It wasn't as good as the Ortega, but it was closer to Fullerton where I lived.

Seriously, though I was thinking of bringing the 986 to the cone zone at GPX or leaning more towards the Period Correct Pit Stop from 9:00am-11:00am in Costa Mesa if anyone is interested.

"Over the years, Porsche has produced a number of highly decorated and acclaimed cars, in fact, it’s hard to pin down a winner from the bunch. But this car—a 1600 Coupe—is not one of them, mainly because it wasn’t made by Porsche at all.
Rather, this is an APAL-Porsche 1600, produced by Belgian fiberglass manufacturer APAL (Application Polyester Armé de Liège) in 1962, and designed to evoke the impactful lines of the hen’s teeth Porsche 356 Carrera Abarth coupes.
Production spanned just five years (’61 to ’65), and in all, about 150 coupes were built. But just because these cars carried a different name doesn’t mean these APAL coupes couldn’t hustle. They surely could."
