ME likes the idea, aaarghh 
how about a smaller, desk calender. Weekly could give 52 pics....

Yeah Gwen, like I have TWO non-running 914's I need to finish and design and a meet to organize. I keep telling myself to stay away from the garage to devote more time to them but that never happens...
Plus I'd be too biased and loose all the pics of guys or unmodified 914s and include more art work.
We need a trained graphic artist or digital media guru. I "think" Lyressa has this expertise...or Siverson who managed the digital WCC05 shirt designs.

Me?!? I have no expertise. Hell, I can't even figure out how to upload a blasted picture...
Although, if we do a calendar, I would like my car to be in it too....
Ris, If I recall correctly, Brad told me you created pictorial tech manuals for Oracle.

Seriously, if the club wants to have a calendar I suggest we try a service like cafepress.com which does not require anyone financially bankrolling the project.
Someone just needs to start a store there (if you want I'll volunteer) and anyone, anytime can order a calendar through them.
It can be priced at their base price which I think is $14.95 and they handle everything but the design work.
If you want me to take the lead send me your pictures:
2300 pixels W x 1800 pixels H @ 200 DPI or PPI
11.4"W x 9"H (trimmed to 11"x8.5")
We'll see how much my email account will handle
If you have many to submit, send them to me on a CD.
Let's say all photo submissions are due by the 1st of August. Then we can take a club vote on the favorite 12.

Ha! Actually I didn't get burned on the 914 GURL hats
. I got stuck with a lot of the Got Cones? hats 
I'm sold out of hats now though. All those hats are now collectables
As for the calendars, like I proposed, all I need are the pictures sent to me. Once we decide on which pictures to use, I'll run them through the cafepress.com service 'custom calendar maker' and whoever wants one can go through them to buy 'em.

You won't be able to sell many with hot guys plus we don't want to destroy the 914 owners image. I think the only way you'll get a "hot guy" included is if you surround him with 10 hot gals...
We'll let the vote decide where the majority of the 914club minds are at.

I think pictures of the guys with their cars is a great idea, as long as it's not under the false pretense that it will be "sexy" .
women can pull off the "sweaty dirty" look and still be sexy, guys just look like homeless mechanics...

Dude! get out of my head! I was just wondering about this project yesterday
I have NOT received any pictures from anyone.
I guess that means no one really wants a 914 calendar
I'll try and get some to you by the end of the weekend.I don't want to be the only one sending in pics,though.Hopefully the others will send some in.
Just as a thought, the calendar doesn't have to be limited to one car per month. You could do a collage for each month of two or three cars. Maybe put pictures from an event in the past on the current month. For instance, for Sept 2006, you could put pics from the Sept 2005 Red Rocks Classic. Just an idea...
